Who told you this pash Ross?

Do you honestly think I would accept a beating from some scumbag Edinburgh Taxi driver?

Who mentioned taxi driver? hmmmmm :-k

CC

Well in that case I wouldn't mind so much. I just don't like the idea of getting a kicking from something I wouldn't scrape off my boot.

:)

But your still a cab driver aint you? How on earth do you put your boots on if thats your opinion?

CC

How many times?

I only drive a cab to make money. I am not a cabbie or a taxi drive. To be one of them you've got to think like one.

Do I kiss the council on the as* for my existence - no

Do I apologise for breathing - no

Do I make excuses - no

Do I give explanations when asked, even though an explanation is not deserved - no

Do I ask the council to wipe my ar*e -no

Do I hate myself for being utterly pathetic - no

Do I believe everything the council tells me to believe - no

Told you CC, no cabbie here just a guy that drives a taxi to earn a few quid - big difference.

But you're a taxi driver!!

Using you're example someone could say I fix the odd blocked drain and install pipes but I aint a plumber.

You drive a taxi, ergo, you are a taxi driver.

Maybe it's different up there but being a taxi driver down here isn't seen as some kind of collective scourge.

Then there's the institution known as the London Cabbie.

Then there's the London Cabbie known as Andersonshelter / London Jim who should be in an institution. :D

If you have a specific point then raise it. How do you expect anyone to confirm what you ask considering 99.9% of subscribers on this forum have never heard of Edinburgh?

Take it where it belongs or if you have a specific point then spew it out and don't waste our time.

JD

I was told a long time ago that this is how members of this trade are described

A "cabbie" is someone who owns and drives a hackney carriage

A "taxi driver " is someone who drives a taxi to earn money

a "minicab driver" is someone who drives a PH

a "chauffeur" is someone who drives a limo or luxury car

a " w*nk@r " is someone who drives a tuktuk
