Oldest daughter 21 on the 26th of June, what could I get her
She has her own car, works at the hospital as an auxiliary nurse, a steady boyfriend for the last 2.5 years, who she lives with.
She don't want a party but is going to Ibiza early July

Need something special but what?????

One of the most popular gifts for a 21st is a good quality watch.

Now that's the gift and not much thought really given to that idea she may think. So now top it up with something a little special and very personal and made by you, like a photo album with photos of her since the day she was born right up to her birthday. A nicely bound album will give her something to treasure and she will know you have taken time to assemble it. That in itself will mean a lot to her and that's what you want; your daugther to feel that one of the gifts is a little special.

Sometimes, the inexpensive gift that the recipient knows the giver has taken time and great thought over is a far more treasured gift than one that costs a few hundred or thousand pounds.

Good luck and I hope things go well for your daughter on her birthday.

P.S.And while you are compiling the album, your customers can be charged the proper fares by other drivers.

I'd go for a gold watch or something along the lines of that.

You have to look at what really interests her, what her interests/likes are, and then work from there.

Is she girlie, a lady/one of the boys? and then work from there. It will depend as to how deep your pockets are (no comments please). If she appreciates the fine things in life then a plush restaurant/nice location etc for her and a few close members of the family, followed by a delivery of flowers and a presentation of a nice keepsake - on that score I have always found that a nice expensive ladies watch (engraved to mark the occasion) goes down well, with the obligatory card then stuffed with 21 x a fiver/tenner/twenties whatever you can afford for her to then go and have a good time with her mates.

Whatever you decide it has got to be what SHE wants, and not what might be considered the norm.

May the weather smile on you all and have a good time regardless.

About the watch idea. Lovely, but Kids use their SmartPhones to know the time now, so it may never get worn.

I was going to suggest a Special Day as well. Perhaps a Pampering Day at the local (elite) Spar or Fancy Hotel, The Rally Driving bit might just appeal as it is sooo "off the wall".

In Taxi Land ~ A Fancy Taxi/Bus, for her and her friends, on the Big Night out in Town or your nearest City.

I'm with bummie's idea of a photo album, especially if your anything like me she will be astonished if you did all the work. Will be something she will cherish forever. Blimey I'm going all gooie.

Okay I get the picture - forget the nice restaurant and the nice engraved watch but chuck in 21 x10p because McDonald's should be open for a burger and a nice engraved "Bikers" chain might just do the job.

Only joking

I don't think a shopping trip at a down market mini-supermarket would go down too well.

Brummie: When you normally shop in the local £1 Shop, The Spar is a luxury establishment!

We have a 24 hour Spar [with lock-down serving hatch only at night] near the weekend rank that I work in the Brum suburb of Sutton Coldfield.

Half the drunks make a bee-line for there when the pubs and clubs close at 2.00-3.00am to stock up on booze before they go home.
