What is the full story? Other than the mobile phone posts I made about one post on your site.

You banned me for the posts than answered YOUR mobile phone posts. This is what you stated on the public side of the site. In effect you said how dare you treat me like that I am the site owner and I have control of the big button. You were brought to task on the public side by other members regarding the banning, in fact a vote was taken that supported my posts, in general, hands down. You then got so upset that you threatened to take the ball away and close the public side down. That is what you did.

Mick you are proving the liar charge leveled at you for me as you continue with this. You will have no standing left if you keep going.

What readers of this should be aware of is the history of our "relationship".

Swords were first crossed on TTFUK, where following what you percieved to be anti London biases, you set out on a crusade of destruction. Bear in mind if you will that TTFUK has so far been the most successful forum based website by far, thousands of members, hundreds of contributers, recognition within councils licensing departments the whole 9 yards mate. Then suddenly members stopped posting, but site hits remained, people were logging onto the site but feared the humiliation you would cause them if their viewpoint contradicted yours. So we then were accused of censorship, unfairness and telling lies, someone YOU never mention was responsible for your exclusion Claude, not any of the people you mention in your further abusive posts.

Then due to the demise of TTFUK, Nidge and myself decided to start a new site, to try and take over the principles of TTFUK and recover what had been lost. We considered how to set the site up very seriously indeed, and concluded that no member should be allowed to conduct themselves in such a way where their posts stopped or effected other members from posting. Everyone was invited but we decided that we needed to be strict on content and behaviour, and we were.

Then came the post of Nidges reporting the story of a driver suspended from driving for using his mobile phone. Even your close friend Wharfie stated he didn't know where you were coming from in this issue, similar to the majority of members who expressed a viewpoint. It was at this point I recieved personal messages and e-mails from the members asking if the principles of the site had changed as we were allowing members to personally attack others and abuse them because of their views. It was obvious to us that you sought to cause similar disruption to our site as you did on TTFUK. That Claude is why you had your membership restricted mate, because it was the will of the majority of the members. You can still keep caalling me all the names you want mate, its like water off a ducks back.

I hope you don't have similar ambitions on here though, yet another website using the word taxi but ran by minicab drivers.

I drive a taxi/HC myself, but I don't really see that what we drive is really relevant - you drive a minicab yourself now, don't you Mick?

Anyway, I prefer the term 'minicab' to refer to what might be loosely called an unregulated PH vehicle(!), ie on the London model, not a licensed PH vehicle, but of course there is a lot of confusion over terminology.

The word 'taxi' is used extensively (particularly by provincial LAs) to refer to HC and PH generically - since you generally use the term HC, then I don't really see how you can object to our generic use of 'taxi'.

I know that the use of terminology is very confusing, but I think the waters were muddied long before we threw in our tuppence worth, hopefully the OFT will address the issue.

That's the crux of the whole matter isnt it. Almost the whole of the public in the whole of the world have no comprehension of the difference between a taxi and a PH car. It used to bother me, but life is too short. I sadly regret, that I simply gave up trying to tell them all, and am as guilty as anyone else now, and call the whole lot Cabs of one sort or another.

Roll on the OFT report, at least it will save us all keep wasting our breath, maybe. I hope.

Claude is very good at calling people, I know what I know and I know that I am in no way anti London, I can quantify this statement cause a quarter of my family still live there, some of whom are 3rd generation London Cabbies.

I'm sick and tired of aruing with people who know jack $hit about the problems we are encountering up here, but I know that constantly being called a liar is a complete discrace with no more argument than someone who has consistantly broke the rules and destroyed an awful lot of peoples hard work.

Like i said TTFUK wasnt anti London Maurices it was just ill informed, and unless the differences in the 2 trades can be addressed then the whole shebang of the licensed taxi trade and private hire trade in this country will be in tatters 10 - 15 years from now.

Also I understand about interest in London as a lot of the country may follow Londons lead. But there is a world of difference between factual information and down right falsehoods such as the wheel chair disabled incurring a charge of £10 before a taxi moves off and mere prejudice.

I know you didn't write the post but it is true to say that these sorts of posts did sometimes appear on your site and when I challenged them it was me who was rebuked and censured.
