It's free - but god knows why because it is so good.

Written by a motorcyclist and uses the Google Maps API

Regularly improved and updated.

I use it for motorcycle trips to France where I am able to enter enough waypoints to make sure TomTom takes the route I desire.

Able to create optimized routes (direct and round robin) and also to output to either TomTom itinerary files (up to the 48 waypoint TomTom limitation) or the Garmin equivalent with direct USB connection to the TomTom device.

Makes TomTom Home route planning look stupid.

Will allow input of postcodes directly.

Short learning curve.

Needs an internet connection.
