Which is why, in the long term, you will generally fail in your aims, and licensed London PH will succeed.

And that reply is why you are a scab, no unity. I would always support other taxi drivers - but you cant - because youre a scab

Latest issue of TAXI online later today.

Huge new rear window advertising campaign about to get underway, I gather the RMT are doing the same with sponsorship from a Taxi media company.

'Don't get raped or ripped off in a Minicab, use a real taxi'

That's my one.

It'll look good on my shiney cab.

The RMT have nothing to do with it, just the lads from the LTDF forum wanting to advertise the trade they are proud to represent. No money being made out of it and a simple message informing the public to be sure & safe and always use a licensed london taxi.

I'll let you know when we have them in stock, you won't get paid to carry them but you will be advertising the trade (and you won't be making a profit for someone else ;) )

I believe ours are on a voluntary basis as well.

It's only a big window sticker. I don't think anyone will make a profit, apart from the Media company who will supply and fit them.

Besides, I like orange.

100% success in defending FPN's for over ranking at the Main Line Termini.

Dear GBC... I do understand your profound loyalty to the blinkered McNamara & co and dare I say it 'taxi'... I'm sure that Iread on the London Taxi Drivers Forum "The Comic" more leavers than the rest put together... After all, they are a bunch of laborious hypoccrites... Don't sit too long on the flyers, you'll probably get an RTFC passed back to you by a broomer! Incidentally, you're not a member of the RMT are you?

Nope big boy, I'm not, but thanks for the concern.

You go with what crowd you think is best for the trade, and I'll go with my choice.

Thats the great thing about being self employed, I can make my own decisions without any input from folks who think they know whats good for others.

Latest issue:

As usual the LTDA are at the front trying to generate more work through the 'hands up for a London Taxi' campaign.

My rear window ad, and seat ad's are now fitted.

Latest issue out now:

http://www.taxinewspaper.co.uk/

More on the 'take back the work campaign', The RMT and a gay rights activist ( 8-[ ) and the usual contributers and letters.

Interesting to see the lack of Taxis for sale in the classified ads at the moment.

I'd have thought the knowledge test would offer it's own restriction
