The guys now disabled the feature until KPM modify it in about 7 weeks.

Does that mean that until the modification has been done your vehicle will not meet the turning circle requirement?

Yep. And I'm sure I'll cope.

Should you be working in a cab that doesn't comply with the COF?

BTW we manage in most places without it :D

Technicaly the answer is no.

But about 50% of the 'Mk 1' London Vitos do so every day as drivers disable the system by pulling out the 2 amp fuse.

KPM have it booked in for this rear steer upgrade in August. I guess, like the rest of Britain, I'll cope until then.

The hardest part of the day is getting it around to the rear of the house where I park it !

The latest update for my KPM Vito:

Had its first service at nearly 20K the other week, MPG seems to have improved with a new fuel filter.

Had the RWS upgrade, they took two days and renewed the dog teeth and various bits of wiring and bushes, all I know is that its all working again, to be honest after not using it for so long, I think I've used it twice since it was done two weeks ago!

I'm pleased with it after my initial doubts.

I'll probably upgrade to the new 113 Euro 5 model when it's 2 or 3 years old.

Oh, and it needs a couple of new front tyres sooner than later.

The brake pads were only 50% down, which is good news as Mercedes want about £200 to change both F&R pads! FFS.

Do you mean £200 each axle or for both?

The former seems dear, the latter cheap.

Merc quote: front pads : £94 (Plus VAT of course!)

Rear pads £87 (Plus VAT again)

They must be made from gold.

You can only imagine the cost for the above with discs all round.

FFS x 12.

FFS, that seems cheap for Merc-fitted parts for a big vehicle in London.

I'm about £130 per axle for a saloon in the middle of nowhere.

Mind you, first front pads lasted 60,000, rears 90,000 and I'm still on the original rear discs at 140,000 :D

Only replaced the rear tyres once as well =D>
