My top five of the year so far are:

1. Pinball HD (just fab if you are a wizard)

2. Solitaire Pro (700 card games for 59p)

3. Tunein Radio ( 40,000 different radio stations including those right wing nutty USA ones)

4. Doodle Jump (bit boring at times, but drives me mad)

5. Angry Birds (bit easier than the real life ones)

1. Air Horn - As it says, an air horn. Use it to wake up passengers who decide to fall asleep in the back and then look all innocent, as they give me the just woken confused look!

2. Angry Birds - Sooooooooooo addictive.

3. BBC iPlayer - Although it needs a WiFi connection, this is ok as the pub that our main rank is outside let me use their connection from my phone. Certainly passes the time when things are dead.

4. Sky+ - Amazing how it comes in handy when someone suggests a program to watch. Just need to find time to watch the bloody things!

5. Flashlight - Great for my hallway in the morning and at night, saves turning the hall light on and wasting money all day.

An honorable mention must also go to iLighter and TouchPool 2D.

All are free, except I got the paid version of TouchPool, for about 69p!

Anyone able to suggest "work" related apps that they use or find handy?

Twitterdeck. (or similar app from Nokia)

By following the London Taxi trade group Tweetalondoncab, and getting info / work from Cabup, it's transformed the way I work.

I get more work by knowing:

Where the work is, as in venues throughout London turning out.

I know where cabs are needed.

I get pre booked jobs.

Instant traffic / road closure updates.

Best of all, it don't cost a penny.

Train Times UK, for a live departure /arrival board on your phone.

Means I can check on trains for punters, and maybe get a Newark run.

Sorry to up an old thread, but for anyone who covers airport work I thought I'd just mention an app for Android phones I came across the other day.

FlightTimes UK lists all the airports and gives you a simple way to get the latest Departure/Arrival times for flights.

I prefer using this app as opposed to book marking the website page on the BAA website as it loads a bit quicker. Plus the free version lets you "favourite" a flight to track it in the app, and keeps it there even once you close the app.
