By the way; did you know that Scargill, now in his 70s & a honorary member of the Miner's Union has just been given £250,000 by that union for a pad in London?

Remember him well, he helped me get a new telly and video back in the eighties. :D :D :) :wink:

He'll go down in history as the union leader whose biggest achievement was to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

I don't think he was ever close to victory but he managed to shut down dozens of pits prematurelyand damage other industries as well it was a real shame the way the miners put their faith in him !
