Any idea how long the CRB checks are taking right now or is it pointless me asking?

Mine took just under three months to come through. Applied 29th December 2009, printed 17th March 2010, arrived a few days later.

You can track the progress of your CRB check online.

12 weeks mate, mine got sent off on the 6th of January, got it back first week in April. It's the local Police HQ who are holding things up. One lad phoned the HQ up to ask them how long his CRB will be because his living depends on the CRB? The CRB officer looked into it and said we'll get it sorted for you today. 3 days later his CRB was through his door. Keep badgering your local Police HQ that will give you results IMO.

yet the POLICE checks are £10 and come back in 14 days and are exactly the same info as a CRB.....

there should be an "interim driver badge" using a passport check, police record check and full DVLA check

i cant look for more work cos the runs are to start too soon, either that or i poach a driver* which is easier said than done

considering they can train monkeys to press buttons why the delay?

didnt i hear CRB via scotland are quicker?

*off another firm, not in boiling water
