approaching a right turn off a main road into a country lane, i pulled into a central "reserveration" with signals on, there was a queue of cars waiting to get out, as i had a gap approaching in the oncoming traffic with me moving at about 5mph i started to turn right and a car waiting in the lane shot straight out across my bows to get over to my left and carry on

we missed by about 5 inches, i had 2 pupils in for school

on the way home i was followed up a country lane by a honda CR (R reg) to a junction where we were both going right

as i pulled out he pulled out UP MY RIGHTHAND side to get in front of me

indicating seems optional whereas tailgaiting seems mandatory, suddenly taxi drivers and whitevanmen are looking the good drivers!

Whatever your problems were yesterday, are today, or will be tomorrow & in the days to come, just read this tweet copied & pasted from bbc.com live on-line news & your problems pale into insignificance.

0725: Allan B Beaton II from Cardiff, UK tweets: "It makes everything that I could possibly complain about today irrelevant and actually selfish. Each rescued miner is a miracle and a blessing."

complete opposite today apart from a bus pulling half out a junction and then stopping and the usual 4x4's parking awkwardly people seemed to be so much more relaxed and calm out there much easier driving conditions !

6.30pm last night a Stag ran onto the road in front of my car, i stopped but the stag kept running and caved my wing in, not a good day, the insurance said its a fault accident, no replacement car and £500 excess. So a couple of hundred quid out of pocket after it has been repaired ny a friend. All the two women that were following me were interested in was Is the stag ok, not if i got my hands on it .....

I am getting sick of people coming down slip roads and then immediately
pulling out into the next lane at nowhere near the appropriate speed.A woman nearly wiped me out today on the A38 at Burton, then the silly cow shakes her head at me

The problem with slip roads or more to the point drivers using them is the slip road does not give automatic right to join the road at the end of it and some drivers just don't realise this.

The whole point when joining from a slip road is to concentrate, make sure you know exactly what's around you, adjust your speed accordingly, WITHOUT USING YOUR BRAKES TO GET YOURSELF & OTHER ROAD USERS INTO TROUBLE, & go!!
