Finally decided to go for the Skoda Octavia SE but now can't decide on the colour. It's between Silver or Aqua Blue metallic. Obviously the silver is the safer option but anyone got or have any views on either? |

Obviously the silver is the safer option but anyone got or have any views on either? Silvers always best, used to run a silver octavia and it scrubbed up well after a decent waxing...seems to stay clean looking longer and looks great after a polish. Darker colours show up dirt and Show up Scratches even more so, I guess thats cause undercoats are lighter than top coats so a scratch looks worse. That said I run a Metallic Black Skoda and it Looks Great after a polish..but it shows up road salt something hellish....again road salt dont show up so bad on a Silver Car. |

Same as above I'd go Silver and they do polish up and look great when washed. |

I thought you where looking at the superb? The superb does not hit the speed bumps as it sits slightly higher than the Octavia,I went for a test drive in one today up in Edinburgh, took it through some of the back streets with bumps and it hit nothing, it had the 2ltr CR 140 engine and it was quieter than a petrol one. the rear leg room has also been increased another 3 inches over the old superb and the hatched boot is massive If you dont want to wait up to 20 weeks for a new one, there are some pre registered ones on the auto trader site. Also some pre reg Octavia's white looks good |

In your opinion what sort of price are new Skoda Octavia SE's. I'm useless at knowing whether I'm getting a good deal although I can normally spot when I'm being fooled. |

Obviously the silver is the safer option but anyone got or have any views on either? I don't think it matters what colour it is, the colour ain't gonna improve the car. Seeing as money appears to be the issue here go for the cheapest colour

As far as I can see the 1.9 td octavia is no longer produced its a 1.6 TD or a 2.0 Td they do now...I guess that makes your 1.9td more buyable because its no longer produced...hopefully around £15,500 or less.......Just a guesstimate...how far out was I??? |
