could it be said that the stop, search and inspection of taxi drivers vehicles, who enters York railway rank at random by railway staff are similar to the anti terror laws which are now deemed illégal, if not then, they like the LA should they have a police officer present when they stop a taxi??? but someone has complained to the LA, but since each driver has signed away his human rights to York Stn taxis nothing can be done hows about the latest, everyone to wear York Stn Taxi Fleece jacket complete with Stn Taxi logo, plus you have to buy it, that includes independants using the rank |

Has anyone asked the station search officials what they are looking for? And under the TPC Act 1847 plus some obscure Railways Act the name of which escapes me, York Station rank is a 'street' for the purposes of the 1847 Act. So yes, they cannot stop cabs; a policeman must be present & do so. But if you are already stationary & have signed your life away to the Railways, then they ain't doing much wrong. |

If you think that any term in a contract is unfair, you have a right to challenge that term in court. If the term is found to be unfair, the contract is unenforceable........................I think! |
