Does the PCO have a list of approved vehicles for private hire?

Probably standard like most LAs. 4 doors, windows, wheels and standard minimum width on the seats. Load of tosh if you ask me cos half our lot don't have much boot space.

Although if you click on the "vehicles" tab as shown in the link in the second post, there's everything from Ford Fiestas to Porsches used as private hire vehicles in London.

Anything that has an engine. £2K Astras are particularly popular, as are S reg Toyotas.

You can put near enough anything on as a ph.Bet you could put a smart car on !

I think when it comes to having a pop at another council's licensed vehicles, those from Blackpool should keep their heads down. :wink:

Looking at the website, there are 2 PCO licensed Smart cars and over 100 "51" registered Vauxhall Astras and Toyota Avensis.

Would a 7 year old Renault Master 8 seat minibus with a wheelchair lift qualify?
