Taxi Driver Online

It has come to my attention that here in York there are taxi drivers who work/drive, but taxi driving is their second job. ie brings in a bit more income to their first trade

one a Plumber who told me he he is racked out during the day doing repair plumbing work and making a killing ie £200 a job to fix frozen pipe etc etc, then he says i just come out taxi driving at night and gain a bit more

another a PH driver got school contracts, well paid, plus plenty of mini bus contracts during the day, then i jump in a Hac taxi and screw the lot and dont declare earnings as a taxi driver

both have told me that they only put down for income tax simple basics. ie not earning enough and cant do two jobs. ie work at night when they have worked during the day

how can someone report these people to the HM Income Tax people if you do not know their names or addresses

I don't suppose you can unless you gave their plate numbers to the tax, but, does it bug you that much?

You can give them the name of the taxi owner via the list the council must allow open access to.

The Revenue folks have a site where you can report anything you feel iffy.

2 jobs? there are millions who wont look for ONE

then again, what these guys are doing (asuuming they dont declare) isnt dodging as much in income tax as the millions of chavs and dole-scroungers are robbing HMG by way of income support, etc

and at least you know where to get a plumber should you need one

But they are also the ones who can sit back and refuse jobs because its suits them or even under quote jobs .They don,t have the pressure of a driver who
has one income and full running costs . i.e paying full tax on earnings.

why not train as a plumber and nick thier work?

maybe your brother-on-ranks are on working tax credits and/or housing benefits (many are) and you wouldnt know would you

Of course all taxi+PH owners/drivers report 100% of thier takings dont they..........

Well i do i know that ,every little thing,all £80 pounds a week of it !!

You want to go steady. £80 per week is a lot in todays economic climate.
