They were discussing Bent on local Radio WM this morning & came up with the following facts.

In the last four seasons the strikers with the best goals per match ratios were in descending order;

1. Drogba
2. Rooney
3. Bent

So you could say Aston Villa have bought the best available!!

How much would Drogba have cost at the age of 26 & how much would Rooney cost now?

A whole load more than £18-24 million.

I think Houllier has done his homework & probably got a bargain, but only time will tell.
