I guess hindsight is little comfort but at least in the future you could perhaps increase your safety now knowing what you do. I hope they catch the culprits and I hope you're ok

why don't lti put bullet proof glass for the drivers safety screen or a more stronger screen in the cabs as it is very weak I used to drive a 03 tx2 gold and in that it used to have a small little hole wer the passengers pay and it was hard for someone to attack you as you couldn't get your hand through but about a month ago I was given a 52 tx2 bronze were you had a sliding screen which you open for the passengers to pay and last night I took some young lags to wendover woods when I opened the screen for them to pay one of the lads reached in broke the screen sprayed me an ran off with my money bag, lti should really install a more solid screen or even a bullet proof one as thiese ones are easy to break . |

Sorry to hear what happened and perhaps a better system should be in place. Do you have CCTV in your vehicle as a deterent and a means for the police to identify these culprits? |

no we used to have cctv in the saloon cars but we haven't got them in the cars, the council an drivers thought we would be safe in cabs but I guess we are not even if the glass was solid we still are in danger In 2008 xmas one of the drivers took passengers to a near by village he felt safe in his cab nowing there is the screen safety so they can't harm him but no the passengers asked the driver for help when he got out they beat him up an robbed him, Is it against the law if you refuse getting out your cab an helping a passenger if you think they might attack you? |
