i am a london black cab driver and have a merc vito taxi. it costed me £35k and now the new one is even more at £42k. the cab is certainly better than my old tx but i recon that the price off the cab is so high because of the rear steer which never gets used by me or any other vito taxi drivers. the people who have used it has broken on them and they have been off the road losing money. the turing circel needs to go so we can have a wider choice of cabs to buy and then we wouldn’t have to pay over the odds.

i am a london hackney driver and i cant understand who boris is kidding , we can only have old dirty expensive taxis when every other uk city has modern cheaper cleaner taxis e7 merc taxis etc

Yes, we can have an E7 which could be off the road with defects as well !

Excellent, lets have a choice of crap vehicles, it would make life so much more interesting going round different vehicle suppliers waiting rooms comparing the tea and coffee, opposed to our current pair.
