Even asda has put there's up 4 times in the last fortnight, £142.7

Could it be because the OFT refused to acknowledge there is a problem, leaving the fuel company's to raise the prices on a whim

It's because the price goes up before it even reaches the surface, the markets bet on the price of oil weeks if not months in advance, the stuff that's stockpiled might have been purchased for $80 a barrel but they are charging the customer $100 a barrel. Round here ASDA is dearer as the local Shell Garage which is better fuel and you get more to the gallon plus you get promotions on Shell points.

Take away the Governments duty of eighty something pence per litre and we have the cheapest fuel in Europe.

There was something on the news the other week about this frapping for Blackshale gas, they reckon there's oil down there to, the reporter was saying that the price of oil will come down when this frapping starts. It won't come down because the Government will sell it to the markets. We won't see any benefit of it.

As for the OFT monitoring the prices, look what they did to the Cab Trade.

we dont produce enough diesel, UK refineries are 30+ years old and back then joe public hadnt wanted diesel cars, so the refineries were built to produce 70% petrol/30% diesel, now the needs ratio is reversed, so we have to import refined diesel....
