Just wondering what kind of mileage you guys (or girls) have got out of your vehicles in the past or present ? I got 250,000 out a mk1 mondeo before things started to go wrong butI am sure this is nothing compared to the TX1's etc. |

Got 300,000 out of a Bluebird, 250,000 out of one Sierra, 150,000 out of the other, and 150,000 out of a Skoda. Not too sure how much I will get out of my new motor though.

30-40k for me. Incedentally i was pulled by the tax man last year, i went for an interview and he plonked photostats of all the Complience cert's for my car on the desk And asked how i "managed to survive only doing 20k miles a year ":? "with great difficulty" (and a little help form a local garage with a laptop and the software to plug in to my car ) So we agreed to disagree and off i went on my merry little way |

Most taxis / PHVs cover about 1,000 miles a week - single shifted - of course this varies though. T reg Vectra was great for 300k - no problems at all. 03 reg Vectra has just hit 100k this week and again, brilliant. I'd be very interested to know the mileage of some of the FX4s / Fairways. |

Incedentally i was pulled by the tax man last year, I was pulled in about 7 years ago, a decrepency with milage and fuel, do their really take into consideration of fuel used to keep warm in winter, they put the frighteners on and said yes you owes us 35 grand after lots of messing about with interviews over a period of time it came down and down to 6 grand over 6 years The taxman asked about an holiday, Egypt, he thought that cost around 2 grand, till I told him it was one off teletex 200 quid, and my wife paid for it out of her salary, the taxman said to me, as we was on interview, look one press of this computer button and I can bring your wife's bank details up, the accountant stepped in and said no you can't do that you are only investigating the one individual The problem is with the Council, they note your motc doc and take your mileage from your speedo reading, fraid they don't get to see my speedo reading, when I take it in for test I put up another display on the vehicle computer, they can have the motc reading, thats not to say I'm fiddling to which I'm not you wonder why so many drivers have a couple of spare instrument panels at home, |
