Im trying to find a company in Norfolk/Suffolk or bit further afield who rent out Hackney cabs. I've had a good look around but have found only a couple of firms in London who offer this service.

Looking through the forum I've seen cab sharing get mentioned a few times. Personally I would rather pay more to have one of my own, at least to start with so that I could then try different times/days to see what works best.

If anyone could recommend somewhere that would be great, any opinions welcomed and if anyone has had good bad experience with something similar I would be happy to hear it.

Try and ask one of the local hackney firms ,they might rent out a vehicle to you.

If you mean traditional London cabs then they will be generally only be offered out in the big cities.

If you mean saloon type, then ring around the local cab firms.
