B&H Council are taking the view that most of the special needs contracts come under the 'vulnerable' exemption to the school closure order, so there is a chance many school runs will continue.

Now of course that depends on how many teachers get the bug, but at least some lights of positivity at last for the lads that do that work.

I’ve been told Sheffield City Council will be 0 but this hasn’t been formally confirmed.

I don't do contracts (but sometimes I cover a patient transport or two for a PH Firm) but I am reliably informed that Devon CC are paying 100% - but are leaving their options open by reviewing as time passes.

I don't know about Plymouth CC's position, but as a Unitary Authority they are separate from the rest of the County.

Scottish Borders 100% but with the expectation that those contractors may be called upon to carry out some emergency work delivering essential public service staff and free school meals etc if required.

We had an email from Leicestershire CC yesterday that now states that it is normal practice to NOT pay for any journeys that don't take place but they are reviewing this.

I think thats harsh. it makes you feel that they just dont understand how important contractors services are to them and it reflects no loyalty from your CC through difficult times, they will be in danger of having no decent contractors left in business in 5 months time if they fail to honour their contracts as many will go under, it's not like the normal private sector are using much in the way of Hacks and PH work so that can't be counted on to take up the slack.

Normal PH runs this weekend here is.........Absolute ZERO.

LCC should cancel all contracts then

its NOT thier money, central government pay them, in fact it would represent a subsidy in these harsh times
