yup stamford 0 to 2 one end 3 the other we finally seem to back under control locally but I still despair at the crowds standing around on the high street in groups with their takeaway coffees socialising

Last year we had the world plus one down on our beaches, and the boffins said recently that had no effect on transmission.

locally we are up to 10 cases last 7 days

South Kesteven rising by 20 percent a day on average last 4 days now at 107 but deaths and hospitalisations are down so probably schools related and hopefully no serious cases amongst that age group

Defo a case of mass testing catching asymptomatic cases.

I think the issue going forward isn't the number of cases that we need to keep an eye on, but the number of deaths.

(Although I suppose the number of deaths has always been the main concern.)

My point is that if we can keep the number of deaths down, and the vaccination process is doing that, then covid can merely be viewed as another flu that can kill, but in the main is just a condition that can wipe you out for a week or so.

the trouble is the deaths don't show up until 3 weeks after the cases surge so we will see after Easter if there is an increase

My next door neighbour had his first vaccination three weeks ago.

He tested positive for coronavirus this week.
