I heard a Secretary of State from the Department of Transport say that they were considering developing a paperless ticket system for the railway network and they had been approached by Uber, who wanted to develop it for them.

Wouldn't take a nanosecond to get from there to the disappearance of taxi ranks at stations would it.

Surely not the hardest thing to do.

Most venues use ticketless apps, as do most bus services.

Everyone does not have access to these type of systems, some people will have to be able to obtain paper tickets.
