I think the metal torch is one of the most popular, but maybe a fast pair of legs is the best asset.

forgot to add, a metal bodied biro makes an excellent weapon, specially if aimed at neck or eyes!!!!! (if no weapons eyes are allways an good area, instinct will make them react, use fingers hand money bag anything) |

edited to add, these are only suggestions, a last resort if you feel your life is in danger, but it can be lonley out there, best to be on your guard. |

My weapon of choice is common sense, something sadly lacking on this thread, whilst attacks can and do happen, I found the one piece screens fitted to the TX11 to be sufficiently strong to withstand an attack by a grown adult male who was under the influence of something (and someone) so thanks to LTI for that, if attacks and robberies are going to become as prevelant that you need to arm yourselves with a weapon perhaps it is time for licencing authorities to only licence vehicles that are purpose built with bandit screens fitted as standard. |

all well and good stu, but many posters on here drive saloons not WAV's with a partition. often the scumbag will be sat right next to you. |
