Hows it been,
Since Xmas for me and many more in our area it has been terrible.
I myself am putting in longer hours for over £100 a week less than the same time last year.
Ok so the company has added more cars but job totals are virtually the same as which isnt good,
But yet we are (apparently) 1 of the busier firms in town.

Anybody has a worrying dip in work or am at the wrong firm.

I agree the work for some reason has really died since easter we are approx 2 hundred jobs down every day & i thought it was only us who are quiet but i have spoken to a lot of different company drivers they tell me the same story i would like to hear from other ppl across the country how it is like for them & if it is the same across the country

It's not been that great this year, but last year wasn't that rip-roaring either.

I look at company stats on a fairly regular basis just to see how their doing and some are growing while others are remaining fairly static. Petrol price increases seem to be having a big impact on profits at the moment, I know my fuel bill has gone right up.

I know were a supplier and not a taxi company but we get a good indication of what's happening out there by the number of additional units we sell to existing customers. The top ups last year were well down on previous years indicating a slow down but then again were doing nearly twice as much new business this year as last. I can't offer any explanation for this phenomena, it certainly doesn’t look like recession from where I'm sitting. Perhaps people are just not spending as much?

Could well be a World Cup effect in play.

Things are bad during the week, have you noticed the price of shoes/footware nowadays, both me boots and me shoes for work are starting to spilt, the public are making theirs last longer by walking.
