I am in the process of making an application to the PCO for the black taxi 'all london' knowledge and have just received an application pack.

When i was approximately 16 (currently 28 ) i was arresed for a class c drug (cannabis) I was not chraged and i'm pretty sure i received a caution. I think i probably have to disclose this due to the CRB check. I want to make it absolutely clear that i was only 16 at the time and have never touched the stuff since. Will this go against me?

Then you would have to apply at the PCO's Minicab wing.

What and have to have an enhanced record check - your right perhaps he would be better off as a black cab driver.

Your 'adopted' side needs the enhanced checks because of the quality of criminals the industry has always attracted.

If you had any clue as to what you post, which clearly you don't, you would know all real London Cabbies have the full CRO check every three years, the difference being our backgrounds are checkable whereas your rapists and wrong un's from Africa and East Europe have NO checkable background.

Skinny pete, i have also read alot about cautions only lasting 5 years etc but have also found conflicting info whilst googling around. I think i will just disclose everything to be on the safe side.

London aside, where the knowledge prevents money from being a requisite to getting a bagde, then I think you'll find that there are as many if not more "criminals" in the taxi trade, if you want to launder money, what better nway than a few £40k plates, and rent from drivers, certainly a lot quicker to clean money this way than through PH driving, also because of lack of checkable background, these immigrants, is that not more to do with immigration Law than driving a PH, sorry but you really come accross as a [edited by admin], why do you feel you have the place to be arrogant, yer a bloody taxi driver FFS, doesn't make you clever or anything, I gave up a job that had much more money and much more Kudos than a london cabbies, but that disn't make me an arrogant F**kwit, sorry but folk like you are just insecure liitle men, looking for a cat to kick.
