the idea of having a squad of players is that you can rotate them and I think it sounded like that would have helped today maybe Rashford or Grealish starting instead of Sterling. I'm glad I was wrong at one point the permutations worked out that both Spain and Germany were going out but the Germans did Spain the favour by beating Costa Rica but not by a big enough score line to get through.

I am a little surprised at Spain though because their squad must be about the most talented at the world cup and yet they have struggled
