Is taxi driving the only trade which, in a recession, with the cost of everything rising, moans and fears a rate rise expecting trade to collapse?

The trade is full of good well-meaning people, but some of those have previously failed in business and are sh** scared of repeating their failures.

For every 1000 that worry/complain/bellyache etc about fare rises, 999 never repeat those concerns a few months down the line.
