The prime minister has attacked politicians and activists "spreading lies and misinformation" over grooming gangs.

It comes after multi-billionaire Elon Musk accused Sir Keir Starmer of being "complicit in the rape of Britain" during his tenure as director of public prosecutions (DPP) between 2008 and 2013, for failing to tackle grooming gangs.

Alongside Musk's comments, senior Conservatives and Reform UK MPs have also spent the week calling for a national inquiry into child sexual exploitation.

Maybe the idea of a judge-led formal inquiry would address everyone's concerns.

Apart from those politicians, police, and civil servants who's utter ignorance exacerbated this scandal.

They had an enquiry which took 7 years to report and they haven't yet implemented all the recommendations. Surely that should be the starting point here without delay.
As far as I can see the only thing that has been implemented is the 6 monthly DBS checks on taxi drivers which for some of us are actually every 2 weeks or even daily.
