Regards JD Governmental advice is still COUNCILS REMAIN BEST PLACED. So who would take over Licensing ? and how would that appease everyone who is happy for the local authorities to remain in control. Just because you want it, probably because your authority doesn't listen to you (as you are not representative) and you feel you would get a better chance with someone else in control. There is no need for change ........................ and I for one would oppose any change as I agree with the advice of government. B. Lucky

But you don't heed that advice because you're on record as saying regardless of what a council might think you are of the opinion that no council in the country should remove restrictions on numbers.
