.... to take passengers in fancy dress where their identity is totally obscured?

Not something that I'd thought of until asked by a female PH driver earlier tonight - she felt intimidated as if anything had happened the description of her passengers would have been "a black cat, a witch with a plastic nose, the grim reaper and a headless guy dressed in black" to the question would you recognise them again???? As all were holding broomsticks, scathes etc she also felt that these could have been used as weapons. I would point out that this is a driver that is not usually scared easily!

In the past I have asked people to remove headwear and to put "weapons" in the luggage compartment; but this just me thinking just where do we stand legally on this?

You can do and ask anything you want as long as a court deems it reasonable.

I think taking them out is fine, as for bringing them back, just drive straight past.
