not being funny but why do some mags come out nearly 2 weeks into the month [issue] their meant to represent....?

it only gives them a 2 week shelf life....?

was thinking about bringing a mag out lets say feb issue for example in the last week of January just as most mags you buy from news stands do.

dont see the point of bringing a mag out a week or 2 weeks into the calendar month it represents as it leaves it with a very short shelf life.
because the nearer the end of the month it gets people wont pick it up as its looked on as old news.
and people would rather wait for the next issue which should be out at latest on / for the 2nd of the month.
otherwise you should call it for example a mag for feb comes out 8th or 9th etc should be called feb / march issue as it overlaps the 2months and the next issue should be march / april issue

If I was to put my Editorial hat on? My thoughts would be that a mag should be brought out seven days before, or no later than seven days into the month it represents.

However, if a mag is worth reading, it won't really matter when its brought out?
