Its a good question Badger.

I would contact all of the relevent organisations and ask the questions most relevent to your situation.

I can arrange for you to visit the GMB at Mosley Street, or if you prefer we can meet for a chat.

I believe that all the main unions have offices in Newcastle, and all would send you information about their objectives.

The decisions about policies are made totally in each area a GMB branch is formed ................... as what works best for members in one area may not work best for members in another, a fact that other groups miss or fail to undertand.

B. Lucky :D

Join the T&G if you want a union.

Join the NTA if you want a taxi association.

Join the Monster Raving Looney Party if you even think about the GMB all the time the OAP has anything to do with it.

I would need to know where they stood before joining any organisation, and is there really any national union or association that's consistent on matters of principle?

Badger - your problem is your male and bored, and can't find anyone to wind up. Simple answer - change jobs.
