Post subject:  CCTV admissability

Interesting article in last week's Times about legality of CCTV evidence, a subject that we've discussed several times in the past.

It doesn't specifically mention vehicles, but it's worth a read nevertheless.

The article seems to give the initial impression that most evidence wouldn't be admissable in court, but by the end seems to have changed its mind #-o

Thing is 1000s of cases use CCTV as evidence, including those cases involving alledged mass murder.

As for the cab trade, I suppose it's a case of seeing the evidence of any attack and letting the courts decide for themselves.

I know of one case involving a PH driver that would never had made it to court without the CCTV evidence, and with it the scumbag got several years at HM pleasure. :D

My son got a conviction through cctv. He was walking through a local town from a night club and he got hit from behind. He turned around and hit the bloke behind him. 1 punch and the guy was spark out on the floor. The police arrived and arrested him. The cctv clearly showed that the chap who hit my son had moved away very quickly and the guy that got layed out was completly innocent. OOPS.
