Did anyone go to Gatwick today?

I was wondering what it was like to drop off there with the hightened security.

Have to go up tomorrow with a fare and want to know where to drop the punters.

Terminal 3 at Heathrow was a doodle this afternoon easiest drop I've had up there for ages. :-o

I think dropping is ok.

Picking up is ok also if you like paying the crazy car parking rates, but if you want to lurk around waiting for nothing, then that's a tad hard at the mo.

But it's not as bad as Heathrow was at the weekend.

Flew into Gatwick last night and no traffic allowed to the drop off on the ramp. All coaches and car traffic diverted to lower deck one lane over, but with long concrete bollards protecting the front of the building.

Lots of police prescence on the access roads stopping vehicles on a random basis. Passport control took over one hour to clear with them looking at each and every passenger one by one. Collections will take longer.....mine took even longer as my luggage carried on to Manchester, but thats another story!

Stanstead - no chance of dropping off in front of Terminal; you have to go into car park! The Police hae closed off the approach road into the airport area!

It was a lot easier than I imagined, not many cars at all.

One guy even phoned our office to try and book my while I was unloading to go to Seven Oaks! Had to get back for a school run though!

Bummer! eusasmiles.zip

Heathrow was just as easy today. But then I didn't go to T4.
