Taxi Driver Online :: View topic

Early hours of Sunday morning I got a pick up from a Country pub - several people got in and out of various doors and eventually it appreared that I had 4 pax - two miles down thecountry road the tailgate of my estate opens and I suddenly realise that I don't have 4 pax I have freaking 8!!! Pull over and explain that will have to get a larger vehicle; atempting to stay friendly as you do. Guy in front smaks me one in the face and keeps hold of me - hit panic button and all hell breaks loose! Woman behind me grabs my hair and pulls me back in my seat) Theses pax were not my average pax but of the travelling variety! Eventual result - I get rid of pax (courtesy of the many boys in blue; and what a fantastic job they do - 13 to fist blue light under a minute although it felt like hours; and every cab regardless of office responded) and carry on back to the ranks and keep working......BUT go home, sleep, think and I have to admit that I awoke at 3 am for the start of my shift and - I CAN'T DO IT!

How do I get over this fear? Where's Tigger when you actually need her?
This is not some dumb blonde fantasy; it's real and I want to know how I'm gonna drive nother night shift!

WTF???? GBC are you some kind of sicko? There was me a lone guy out in the sticks and driving a bloody Vauxhall Vectra Estate so just where did the TX appear? Has anyone actually seen GBC's licence just to prove its a freaking DUD? I don't need to tell you the big fat mistake you made, which I doubt you will do again. But well done for keeping some sort of control over the situation before the police arrived, and great that you didn't end up in a far worse condition. But put it behind you as otherwise it will drive you mad.

Crikey should of had a limo 8 pax no problemmo On a serious side though as Sussex says well done for not letting it get too out of controll and if you fall of yer horse get back on it straight away, i felt the same recently about having a RTC on me motorbike but now i have overcome the fear and im back on em again you have to do the same with your taxi matey

FYI the pax have been charged with a string of offences but do I give a [edited by admin]? NO! The trade has got that bad that we can't even support each other when onen of is attacked - [edited by admin] THE WHOLE LOT OF YOU! Oh dear GBC you seem to have scared off yet another, i bet thats made your day I think skippy has a point though, why oh why cant the very people that are in the trade stick together instead of fighting against each other, if you cant stick by each other what chance do you stand against the authorities?? Yes i accept its the same in the limo world too. too many ar**holes willing to try and bring the others down and start a war of words, but in fact if they stood by one another they would actually acheive so much more!!!!The only difference is though i dont get scared off Happy days ahead i guess However even i accept that there does seem to be certain inconsistencies with your version of events, perhaps thats down to not being able to recall the actuall events due to fear, i guess we will never know!!!
