Hello all, is anyone on here a london hackney carriage driver because im just starting my all london knowledge, got my first talk next week and want advice. i need to know what sort of jobs people have when learning the knowledge, because at the mo i got a full time job and is very stressfull so looking for a new job, any ideas??

In London the ability not to speak english or have a clue where you are going always helps.

Touting skills are an added bonus.

But that's why your starting the knowledge :wink:

It's not just London, a driver had his radio taken off him last week.
Complaints.
Stinks
Very little english
drives on wrong side of road
must have a post code for every job (but i got tom tom missey)
spent most of the day on voice asking silly questions!

But you can take a translator in the test with you, the translator is a taxi driver and the LO doesnt speak punjabi!

No translator allowed in my area. If you can't read the questions, you can't get a license. :wink:
