Where is the best place to issue a new taxi rank????

What conditions are needed to make the perfect rank????

It would be good for everybody on here from around the country to contribute good points from the best ranks in his/her town.

got 1 rank, about 7 spaces, and about 70 hackney plated vehicles...

I am not going to say this is the first place you should put a rank....but it is one of the logical conclusions to start with..... through trade meetings with the council a policy should be put in place to include hackney ranks as part of the planning permission were ever a new development is proposed ie... Sainsbury's.. Tesco.....
and as for ranks now.. you should be looking at where it is busy... but be prepared to have more than one location in the place you want... think ahead of the arguments that will be placed in your way... and have your answers ready... be prepared to split the rank..ie.. daytime only... night-time only...
