hi everybody just started my knowledge but i am finding it very difficult and frustrating as i just cant remember all the roads. my brain feels like a wrinkly turd and im losing hope and patience. im being taught the ''write on cards'' way but having no luck and dont believe its helping me remember WHERE the actual roads are located either.
any help on how you guys and gals remembered it all would be very much appreciated as im contemplating suicide at the moment and will be probally be divorced in a weeks time.

thanks peeps. eusasmiles.zip

When I did the Birmingham Knowledge over 30 years ago, I bought a big A-Z map of Birmingham on one fold out sheet - it was about 4 x 6 feet - pinned it to the wall at home, & put a sheet of clear plastic over it, to keep it clean.

I found that a great help as I could see all the through routes, could judge distances better, & memorize all the main arterial roads/routes.

Try it, it might help.

I do envy you!! If I had my time again there is only one Knowledge I would want to pass; it's the one you're doing!!

Good luck & stick at it; you'll make it!

I passed the glasgow knowledge a few months back. In my opinion, any big city in which a knowledge has to be passed to drive a fast black is going to be tough, so dont get too disheartened imo if u r finding it overly difficult.

I studied for 10 hours each day for 2 weeks solid, and got through first time on 89 percent, our pass mark here is 80 percent. It was tuff and i felt like banging my head off the wall in the last few days, but it was well worth it in every respect. If i have a bad night at work, its easier to accept as u know that no radio controller back at base is the reason u have had a bad night, just plain luck lol.

Hi Noel33330,

I run a knowledge school down here in Brighton & Hove; we use the card system, unfortunately by just using that method, at best it will just give most individuals a parrot fashion memory of what has been remembered. I always insist that the people who attend my school always go to the area they are learning to get a visual memory of what they are learning. One of the questions I always ask the people who want to learn our knowledge is, can you visualise your front door in your mind, can you see it, they all say yes, I then inform them that that is how I want them to see every road they learn. This has worked well for me over the years. I wish you luck.

Regards
BB
