ENFORCEMENT ISSUES

Of all the things that impact on our trades, whether it be HC or PH, enforcement is by far the most critical.

By having a dedicated Enforcement Issues section, there would be a build-up, over time, of the terrible problems around the country purely on this issue alone.

In time, this section could become a reference point to show the inadequacy of the efforts or inabilities of licensing enforcement officers nationally.

Are you in favour of this proposed new section?

Perhaps Admin might create a voting section at the top of this thread to gauge the opinion of TDO members?

The Forum can have as many sections as members want.

The reason we don't have more is one of easy use rather than anything else.

However if members want it, then it's not a problem.

At the moment the silent response is deafening.

The whole idea is to exchange views on enforcemnet issues from around the country.

After all, enforcement IS the number one issue everywhere!!

Such as, which LA's enforcement officers work night shift and which don't?

And why don't they?

How many night hours do they work, or do they pi$$ off to bed at midnight?

And that's just one single issue.

I'm sure an enforcement section on TDO would in time prove very useful to the trade and probably to some licensing officers that read these threads too.

Well ours work day and night and also work in conjunction with the surrounding areas. If they do work nights they're usually around til about 01.30. When they are out it's not just taxis they check they visit the pubs and clubs at the same time unless it's a joint trade op
