I am all for making the site interesting but I feel that to many topics are being posted in one hit. The point I am trying to make is that with so many topics to potentially discuss, they may not go the full distance in discussion terms before they fall off the page. A full conclusion therefore does not take place. I hope that this is taken as constructive criticism and nothing more. |

Well john if it was not for the sterling efforts of TDO and JD, and others, in keeping us all informed of all the trade misadventures and misdeeds, would we have a site that is well informed, where we can digest debate and sometimes poke fun at, I think not. The more the merrier BTW if it where not for the above we would not know what shenanigans you lot are up to in Cardiff and surrounding areas would we now bach so cyd u geg ur diawel gwirion

I am not knocking the guys, in fact it would be saving them work - but as I said the topics are not going to get good mileage. |

The point I am trying to make is that with so many topics to potentially discuss, they may not go the full distance in discussion terms before they fall off the page. A full conclusion therefore does not take place. I hope that this is taken as constructive criticism and nothing more. I understand what you mean and I did consider putting all the news items that I post, into just one long post, however, when I have done that in the past, some news items that in my opinion were worthy of debate failed to attract a response. I fully understand where you are coming from and believe it or not I do omit some news items that don't meet the relevance threshold. The main thing that TDO is concerned about is bringing you the news as quickly as it happens and under the circumstances you have to consider the geographical location of all those who subscribe to TDO. I suppose we could have individual news sections based on locations such as Welsh, English, Scottish. Irish, World, etc but I'm not going to advocate that approach because even that system would have its failings. I don't know if there can ever be enough news but I certainly know that a starvation of news is certainly not in the best interest of all concerned. TDO not only brings you instant news it also allows you to debate it long before it ever appears in any Taxi magazine. In many cases you will have an advantage over the rest of your Taxi colleagues in respect that you are up to date with the latest information of what is happening in the taxi trade around the country? In short the relevance of any news item is always in the eye of the beholder but whether or not they feel compelled to debate it, is another matter? Observations such as yours are always welcome and they do not fall on deaf ears even though the practicalities of moving them forward are not always as straight forward as might first appear? Regards JD |

Cheers JD you took it like I thought you would. Mine was only an opinion/thought, I would keep coming on here regardless. Regards John Skippy, did not know it was Welsh , thought you got carried away on a typing rant
By the way, what was it if it is not too rude. |
