Obviously the legislation referred to in that article was Private hire legislation which is quite straightforward. The complication arises when you start applying private hire legislation to Hackney carriage drivers and vehicles. However, as the article implies there many anomalies that could do with being brought up to date.

So when can we sign you up for our new legislation campaign?

Yes, a cogent and compelling analysis, and a kick in the teeth for those who prefer local rules for local conditions made by local people and/or thinks the current legislation is the labrador's favourite licking spot.

Or perhaps a case of - right analysis, wrong conclusion?
