And as stated elsewhere for PH that's a medical and CRB. (And a box-ticking exercise on disability awareness).

So what's to water down?

My point exactly - the majority of the country already has similar standards - the LC cite standards throughout the document as being a cure all - ffs they even mention Worboys - unless they employ timecop theres nothing they can do to stop the likes of that tw*t.

In effect their standards will have little significance to many of us - yet they cite these standards as a great reason to encourage cross border hiring etc.

In my view its dishonest.

I wouldn't bank on the box ticking exercise, not less the unions create a stink and you forgot the 'fit and proper' bit or do you have less faith in this than myself :lol:

lol;

some chap wrote the following;

Well the law commission appear to have been told to do a hatchet job. The OFT in a seriously bad work of fiction also effectively failed to convince government to veer away from local authority control – yes they managed to get best practice worded against regulation of numbers, but that was about it. I am convinced someone within the DFT is playing god – and with my Scooby doo fixation – they’d have got away with it too if it wasn’t for those pesky councils.
