For the Law Commission yes..... for the cab trade no... it seems Trevor Bowlers( chair of the NTTG) strategy will be to get the Law Commission to repeal the 1976 Act..... private hire...

Methinks that's going to happen anyway.

He wants the Law Commission to restrict the number of how many private hire vehicle licences are issued #-o

So does the Head of Licensing in Birmingham.

The campaign is growing!

What is the NTTG.

A Committee with out focus, with out any real agenda on how to move forward, with a committee which is not elected eccept for may be two, and who as not follwoed the constitution and refused to take note of the members who did turn up, a committee that as failed to keep in touch with the most inportent part of the NTTG it Members. its going nowhere, they say they have been to meetings with the LC were are the notes of them meetings, they did not hand any out at the meeting.

they invested the money with who's permission, it is alleged that they loaned £2000, it is not allowed under the Constitution.

And i do have to say this I thank Wayne for his warm greeting he may have still held some grap but did not show it, which was in the spirit in which everone was there for to focus on the issues, unlike Pat Conners, if that charlie Oakes come on the committee i go off it just go.s to show how people cant move on. its sad in a way but its just the way they.

And doomed to utter failure.

How would demand be assessed?

What's stopping PH from other areas meeting the demand?

Do we really want a PH plate premium?

Anyone who advocates restricting PH hasn't bothered thinking about it, and, as is the case in the two people mentioned, are merely playing to an audience they think are as thick as them.

I personally would like to see private hire vehicle licences restricted..... I would also like to win the lottery... but I happen to think that anyone who suggests going down that route must be absolutely barking mad........

You just have to think a laal bit......are we going to restrict wedding car companies who might want to do work other than weddings?

It's a pretty clueless idea from people not prepared to think outside of their own little berg.

It's no longer a National Association, it now has no members according to them.... But 10 Associations did turn up... only to find that the committee only represent themselves.. they have thrown the constitution out the window.... not one of the committee has been elected by its members.... no accounts were shown for the last five years... and the large amount of money was not accounted for.... I personally think the police should be brought in.....NTTG..

I believe that any aggrieved party that believes that they have suffered financail loss and can provide proof of that may have grounds to do just that.

They said they had loaned £2000 to Manchester They had no right to loan anything to any one, but its now beleived that they actually got a contribution of £2000 from the National Taxi Trades Group. now i am very simple a contribution is not a loan.

I think the vote of confidence in the committee showed they did not have the cofidence of the majority there. they would not stand down, there was 4 members who put up for office there still did not stand down.
