Quite a surprise today to see two Unite Union reps from liverpool turn up in town collecting signatures for their petition against the Law commission's report they certainly seem to be clocking up a few miles in search of signatures

to be honest I'm not sure what they are hoping to achieve i was trying to load a passenger and take a booking off the phone as they were petering me and they'd moved on by the time i got back so i didn't really get to find out properly other than they were from Unite and were Liverpool city hackney drivers they did mention lobby of parliament I think

They rocked up in Lincoln about 1430 on Wednesday. I was wondering how they knew so much.

they got quite a few signatures including some of my drivers but I'm not sure they knew what they were signing a couple of local cars are even displaying window stickers telling the law commission where to go unite seem to think they are an enemy to the trade which is not true it is just the trade didn't put their case across well enough in my opinion
