It’s amazing how many operators only look at the trade from the angle of what’s best for them and not from the point of view of what’s best for all of us, and now it seems that most of them that stand on the rank shouting about it turn out to be the same one's that broke all of the conditions they are now complaining about.

The councils and the operators (English version i.e. radio circuits) love drivers to be at each others throats.

Cos then they can get away with ripping the pi** out of drivers without any fear of any iffy comebacks.

Indeed we are our worst enemies.

That's why it's about worker's rights.

That's why de-limitation is being fought so fiercely in Edinburgh.

We're asserting our rights.

The owner's are asserting theirs.

But they have loaded the system in their favour.

They're protecting false plate values and rentals.

And the council is protecting them.

Only, the council has allowed private hire, less regulated, less controllable, to grow.

The Rat joining them shows their intent. They intend to develop their business at our expense.

Well, they're not going to get away with it.

Thje council is not going to get away with it.

Cllr Keir is not going to get away with it. And, let him be aware that whatever his pals do, it will come back to land on his doorstep. He is accountable for whatever happens from now on. He is personally and politically in the frame. This is not a threat. It's a warning.

Councillors, like Cardownie, have direct links to private hire. And we all know how they operate.

Any doubts, ask Gladders why he withdrew from his site.

But it is a mistake for them to play with the political process. It draws heat and stirs the establishment to deal with them.

The Rat is already drawing heat. And it can only go one way if he remains involved.

It's time for the trade to stand to the line to defend itself.

MacAskill reckons that he doesn't want de-limitation because he wants to keep crime elements out of the trade. Is he stupid or what?

One man one taxi, with real driver controls is the best way to keep criminal activity out of the trade. The status quo is actively encouraging undesirable elements into the passenger carrying trade in Edinburgh.

What chance do we have when our politicians are so thick they can't see the wood for the trees. Or is there another powerful reason why the appear to be so stupid?

We need a public inquiry into CEC's handling of the taxi licensing in Edinburgh.

And remember to think about the stae we're in when you do.

Then tell me whatr you're gonna do to put it right.

Have to say I won't be holding my breath waiting for a flood of original thought from you though.

Sarcasm, look it up mate ! I think the businessmen of the year part flew way over your wee brain. I've never claimed to be anything of the sort. What gets me is, the desperation in each and every post that Taylor posts. He'll cling to any old thing to try and get his point across. If it's no women being raped, it's dodgy councilers with alter egos ! The man has been put firmly in his place by the Edinburgh Taxi Trade. Nobody is interested in what he has to say. He's a mouth peice who is in it for himself. Don't let him kid you. He wants revenge for being humiliated in the past. He isn't interested in what's best for the trade.

QUESTION>>Ok, if JT is the poor over paying wee helpless drivers champion, then why oh why don't any of them back what he has to say then ??? Why hasen't he got their backing ???? Oh i forgot, their all stupid eh !!

And that's it in a nutshell for me. If drivers thought for one minute that JT and skull were onto a winner and things would change for the better then I'm pretty confident it wouldn't take too long before change was imminent.

Q. Is this a route that JT dare take I ask ??? Would he be confident of the poor wee drivers backing ?????

Answer....No fecking danger !! Because everyone and i mean everyone can see right through him.

Perhaps they prefer not to be binned by their owners?
It's not as if they have any job security or employment rights, is it?

Never mind, BTK. According to you they are lazy and now stupid.
You really shouldn't be worried, should you?

So why are you?
Perhaps you know that change is inevitable and are simply trying to hold back the tide, Canute style?

Am i worried ? Why should i be worried then ? If dereg were to happen, then according to Mr Taylor things will get better for Taxi Drivers.

And I'll be the first to go up to the man and congratulate him and his merry men for doing such a wonderful job in helping me make my business more profitable. But let's face it, you know and I know that just isn't going to happen. Dublin went from having around two or three thousand cabs to having eight or nine. How will that possibly help Taxi drivers in i ask ??

This isn't about helping poor drivers, this is a vendetta against anyone who has ever dared cross Mr Taylor in the past. It's as simple as that.
And what we have are a wee bunch of misfits who also have been put in their place by the trade in one way or another in the past and didn't like it, so they too follow follow. W

Utter Tosh.

Edinburgh is nothing like Dublin and you know it.

I asked already but you didn't answer - how much did you pay for your plate? and what did you use for collateral?
I think you are worried, BTK. Worried about how you will pay back the loan without a jockey to do it for you, worried about loosing your house or worried about not having that plate value for your retirement.
