KPM have informed me they have sold around a hundred Mercs so far but none have yet hit the streets of London. The delay is down to the added extras and the logistics of transportation from Spain to the UK where additional work is carried out.

KPM said demand has exceeded their expectations and the vehicle will not be available to the provinces until probably next year.

I can't see many provincial drivers buying the London model with rear wheel steer for an extra £6K.

I understand Jubilee's one is identical, bar the above.

I suspect it wont be aimed at those councils that don't adhere to the pco conditions of fitness but I think it will be well received in those areas that do.

I work in London & there is just NO WAY that I want to see the turning circle requirement dropped.

IMHO - I feel that 3-point turns are both more dangerous & time consuming as compared to a U-Turn. Outside of London this may not be a problem but central London usage then I beg to differ chaps.

Well considering a U turn is illegal to perform, and a 3 point one isn't, it makes sence to scrap it.
I think the PCO will have to do it when no one can get hold of a LTI cab anymore, I cannot see LTI making them anymore one full production starts in China, and once the Chinese see they are not selling they will stop also

There are rumours up this end, that Peugeot are seriously looking at Merc's rear wheel steering idea & may be doing the same to their Eurocab.

But at the moment the Peugeot Eurocab does not offer an automatic transmission as an option.
