28mpg is a lot better than a TX....and I really ain't hanging around.I have got a pick up at Southampton Docks in the morning so will check it after to see if it's altered yet.
Incidently,it's my first time down there, any tips on the route down from Derby?
Regards
Steve

....M3, M27 westbound, M271. Then Dock Gate 10 for Mayflower Terminal, Dock Gate 4 for QM2, Q. Vic. (Looking at the Southampton VTS traffic movements, you're probably looking for Queen Mary 2 at Dock Gate 4) Probably start disembarking 9.00/9.30 ish. Try to time your arrival to just miss the rush hour.

If you're dropping off, aim to get out of the city by 1600.

Watch out for speed cameras!!!

You have PM.

Hey Skippy,
50 to 60??
The right foot just weighs heavy somehow you know!!
Seriously,I've had a couple of scares this month with our friendly 'roadside tax collectors'.It's only a matter of time!
They were even stood at the side of the M40 near Beaconsfield Services at 05.30 t'other week!

Thanks grandad and cabbyman.T'is indeed Dock Gate 4 I'm heading for.I am dropping at EMA at 05.30,so will have a steady drive down.Is there a McD's handy nearby?
Regards
Steve

Well the trip went smoothly.2 and a half hours driving time from EMA to the Docks.Had time for a Little Chef brekkie and the passengers bought lunch at a posh restaurant and still tipped me.Beats working the ranks!
The maths are done,I got 31.8 mpg which is about the best I've had I think.
Got a Stansted 04.00 Monday morning.Again,it's a first for me so any help with route appreciated.
Regards
Steve
