I paid for my plate 9 years ago! Since then there has never been a court challenge to say i or the other did any thing wrong Everything is and still is Legal, the real problem is within the phc trade they are the ones who hold HUNDREDS of plates.

The value is agreed between buyer and seller and that is why no 2 plates sell for the same amount, normally a plate will sell as part of a package, Taxi, Radio and the right to operate the licence, (This is not the case in the PHC trade though ) this also depends on the said buyer holding a Taxi driver licence, now i can understand why Donald anderson said there is no intrinsic value in a license plate, the reason you can't is you haver never been through the process so you only surmise the plate has a value when in fact it's the WHOLE package that has the value

but! the pub lease is a lawful lease that is owned buy the licensee.
its their premises,you pay to operate from thier premises for a set amount of time,all legal and above board.
the public taxi operators license, is owned buy the public and is therefore not for sale Dougie,if it were there would be no need for incorporation.

after all the act states that the license should be returned and is not transferable.

why do you think a simple transfer of licence is not possible throught he council.

There is nothing in the contract that say's we cannot sublet the usage of the licence, i have never said the plate can be sold, i rent the plate from the council on a yearly basis, if i incorporate the plate i'm entitled to change directors on a yearly basis ( as in any LTD company), incorporating a plate allow's me to do this, everything is perfectly legal and as long as i pay my corporation tax and submit my ltd company accounts. If it's illegal to play the game this way challenge it put your money where your mouth is You do when it comes to carpetbagging
