Go on Ell Tell get stuck in there no more owners claiming drivers are self employed lets give them the min wage

I'm not too sure it's the min wage they are campaigning for, it's employment law and the working rights that accompany it.

I would be interested to hear or see anything that points towards the drivers actually being self-employed, other than the words of little Griffin.

Message from Mr Flanagan.

Alex

Last week I attended a Fringe meeting at the TUC organised by the Daily Mirror. At this meeting it was revealed that this scam, or organised criminal activity as some believe it is, costs the nation £8 BILLION a year.

Representatives from the GMB, both publicans and professional drivers, outlined their experiences, also contributing was the General sec of UCATT, the construction union, who outlined the vast problems within that field.

Also present was the General Sec of BALPA the airline pilots association who said that Ryan Air were looking to make pilots self employed! See the Mirrors web site for previous articles in this series

The Daily Mirror is running these articles for a year, their line being that this fraudulent activity is a prime target for this CONDEM Govt to address. £8billion a year is surely a worthwhile target? Surprisingly many companies considered to be at the forefront of these activities contribute to the Conservative vermin!

We see no problem with Hacks that are rented out, purely because the work distribution is not SOLELY controlled by the hirer or circuit owner.

It appears that the GMB is now beginning to be recognised as the leaders in the struggle to bring the Drivers within the PH Chauffeur Courier and Hack trades into a fair and secure employment regime with allies such as the Daily Mirror the future look bright The Daily Mirror is read by 20 million people a day!

Skippy you seen the light yet JOIN THE GMB the best !!!!!!!

I am totally self employed as I own and drive my own hack and don't have drivers
I say no to renting out, without the driver being an employee
One driver ,one cab or PH, only then can a driver be master of his or her own destiny
